Salmon Fly Float Trip

June 8th, 2008 by Jimu

Monday, the day afer the picnic at the Holy Water’s Rivers Edge Park, we floaed the upper river looking for fish willing to take big stone fly imitations.  After an obligatory breakfast in Shady Cove we launched at the hatchery ramp.  With everybody casting bamboo and big dries we quickly got some action.   The flows were high but managable, although it did put the fish in some unusual places.

Bamboo Addict (Dave), Cachanded (Kurt), Kelley (Kurt’s guest), Dr. Cane (Chris), Umpqua Beaver (Ron), and yours truly had a great day on the river.
